What To Expect From This Year's Blog Posts

WELCOME GRADE 4 PARENTS AND STUDENTS!!!

Hello everybody and welcome to our Discovery School Grade 4 Blog for the 2012-2013 school year.  We hope that you and your family had an excellent summer and are as excited as we are for the coming school year.

What to expect from this year's blog posts:

This blog will be posted each Monday morning during the school year.  In it you will find important reminders about what's going on at Discovery School.  You will also be able to keep up with what your child is learning week to week, as we will provide an overview of your child's
homeroom class activities and pictures of some of the exciting learning experiences at school.  This blog will not list the homework expectations though, as part of each student's daily responsibilities will be to record his/her homework in their "learning log".  But we will be attaching a weekly math problem that the students will only be able to find on this blog, with rewards for students who log in and do their best to solve the problem.

This year there will be two grade four classes, each with 11 students.  The two classes will be taught by myself, Jordan Rose, and my new teaching partner Karen Raudales.  We both can't wait to meet our new grade 4 students next week, and all of their parents at our Open House on September 18 between 7-9 am.  If you would like to either of us before then our email addresses are:
