THIS WEEK'S CLASSROOM ACTIVITIES
Math: This week's math lessons will focus on good ol' fashioned adding and subtracting using the column method. Our students will also be working on the quick recall of basic adding and subtracting facts. Any parents or students who would like to practice their skills are welcome to borrow class flash cards.
Reading and Writing: This week in guided reading reading we will be examining and then re-examining our 'good predictions' for the conclusion of our class novel Stonefox. In writing we will practice writing for a purpose, using our mystery box of fun writing prompts. Let's see if our students can use their creativity and expressive writing to complete this fun activity successfully.
Social Studies: We will be looking at our last two global regions this week, Australia and the Middle East. Afterwards we will review for our SOCIAL STUDIES QUIZ on WEDNESDAY. On the quiz the students will have to demonstrate understanding of some of our key geographical concepts, and accurately label selected items on a world map. Good luck students!
Grammar and Spelling: Due to our short week we will not be having grammar or spelling lessons this week.
Here's to a great week everyone!! Thanks for reading!!
